Solomon Amos

Founder & Technical Architect, GetComfort

PhD, Engineering (machine learning & cybersecurity) · SC Cleared · AWS-certified (x7)

Solomon Amos is the founder and technical architect of GetComfort. He built HomePortfolio, the property-intelligence platform - 29.5 million UK properties, UPRN-keyed, covering EPC, planning, price and risk data - that powers this site's property pre-fill and overheating model, so the data the checker reasons over is data he designed and built. He holds a PhD in Engineering (research in machine learning and cybersecurity), lectured in Applied AI and Machine Learning on the University of York's Online MSc Computer Science programme (2020-2023), and holds seven AWS certifications spanning solutions architecture, machine learning and security, alongside SC clearance (eligible to uplift to DV); he is currently working towards the Anthropic Claude Architect (Foundations) certification. In his day role he is Lead Technical Architect and AI Enablement Lead at Accenture UK, working on regulated UK public-sector modernisation programmes - views, products and figures on this site are his own and independent of his employer. He is not an MCS or F-Gas accredited installer, and does not claim to be: every grant, accreditation and planning claim on this site is sourced directly from CIBSE TM59, Building Regulations Part O, gov.uk's Boiler Upgrade Scheme guidance, and MCS - see the full methodology.

GetComfort's cooling verdicts are produced by a deterministic property model, not written by hand. The scoring logic and every regulated figure - grant amount, accreditation routing, planning route - are sourced from CIBSE TM59, Building Regulations Part O, and gov.uk. See the full methodology.
